Testimonials

Felicia Symonds "A truly memorable experience, the Food and Nature tour of Hokkaido with the awesome Rika from Kuroko Boutique Tours. Exceeding every expectation this tour delivered in spades. Amazing and varied meals in restaurants that the solo traveller would never find let alone get a booking. Beautiful and varied accommodation. Onsen resorts large and small. Hikes in breathtakingly beautiful locations. All made possible by the knowledge and expertise of Rika, who, as the owner of Kuroko gives her clients 110%. Loved it all."

I have just returned from the Northern Japan Food and Nature tour ably guided by Kuroko Boutique Tours. It was a trip that will remain etched in my memory. The trip was a delight because of Rika's attention to detail, professionalism, sense of humour, generosity, and her efforts to keep us focused and to contemplate the moment. She took us to the best of restaurants serving the freshest of ingredients. The walk through the Oirase Keiryu beech forests was wondrous and therapeutic, to say the least. Thank you for showing me parts of your country new to me.

"The best and most stress-free trip I've ever had. The tour was an introduction to Japan, its people, its culture, its food and its physical beauty. It was interesting and exciting and exceptionally well-organised by Rika. We learnt so much about Japan, especially Hokkaido. All I dream of now is our next Japan adventure. I have always been a bit wary of tours. This was my first. It was small and personal, very much boutique style, very much my style. Rika actively sought out our wishes and preferences before and during the tour and where possible, built them in. It was so relaxing and a lot of fun. "
